The current NGO's / Shelter Homes have no desire to offer housing alternatives to older Survivors as government funding is only available to those under 18. There are following problems starts after 18 :

• - We lose our trained workforce after sincere training of many months - Girls lose income and independent lifestyle after restoration from current shelter

• - Threat of landing again into human trafficking world or brothel.

• - Usually their families never accept them because of social stigma and try to rid out after getting them married any way!

• - In such a small age and after traumatic life girls after marriage get completely confused and without any choice!

• - In most of the cases their husband left them and ran away from responsibilities even behind with kids!

Long term, providing this housing program will allow SewaShram Shakti foundation to become self-sustaining as we will be maintaining our trained survivors. This also gives them the beneficial time to heal and learn skills to flourish in their future life.
